Fife Council is reviewing the Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils and inviting members of the public to share their views with the second phase of consultations now open.
At a Special Meeting of Fife Council, held on 19 June 2025, the Council agreed to proceed to phase two of the consultation on the revised Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils in Fife. The papers from the Council meeting are available here Fife Council (19th June 2025) | Fife Council.
The second phase of the required consultations opened on Monday 23 June and the Council invites suggestions and representations on the draft scheme.
Any person or organisation wishing to make written suggestions or representations may do so by no later than 5PM on Friday 15 August 2025 by;
- filling in the form on the Have Your Say – consultation pages Ihttps://haveyoursay.fife.gov.uk/communities/community-council-consultation-phase2
- emailing direct to cc.consultation@fife.gov.uk; or
- writing to the Head of Legal and Democratic Services, c/o Business Support, 5th Floor West, Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes KY7 5LT.
The initial consultation process was over one 12-week period and addressed the Scheme itself, together with associated documentation, including Community Council boundaries.
