The SafeDeposits Scotland Community Fund, which awards grants to community groups across the country, is now open to applications for 2024.
Grants of up to a maximum value of £5,000 are awarded to organisations which can deliver a project that meets at least one of five criteria:
- Sustainability and the environment
- Employability and career skills
- Social inclusion
- Technology and digital inclusion
- Improving the local community
The SafeDeposits Scotland Community Fund’s rules and guidance outline in more detail what can and cannot be funded, and the requirements of any organisation applying for funding.
SafeDeposits is a tenancy deposit scheme, which has attracted around 69% of the market in Scotland. Unlike other tenant deposit schemes, SafeDeposits is a not-for-profit organisation, and any surpluses generated are donated to good causes.
