The Nature of Scotland awards are now open to nominations for 2023.
Run by RSPB Scotland and sponsored by NatureScot, the Nature of Scotland awards celebrate the inspirational people, projects and partnerships across different aspects of nature conservation.
There are ten different awards categories, including Community Initiative of the Year which recognises outstanding community-based initiatives that demonstrate what they have done for the benefit of nature. The project should be developed and led by the people it serves, acting as an inspiration to others and offering real value to the whole community.
Other categories include the Health and Wellbeing Award, which acknowledges the link between nature and good physical and mental health, and the Species Champion Award which recognises groups or individuals who have made a special contribution to the protection of Scottish wildlife.
Nominations are open until 30 May 2023 and you can find out more about how to nominate a project on the RSPB Scotland website.
