Organised by Keep Scotland Beautiful, Spring Clean Scotland provides community councils and other organisations with an opportunity to organise litter picks in their local area. Keep Scotland Beautiful has created a supporters’ pack with all the information you need to set up your own litter pick, from the equipment you might need to how to ensure everyone taking part stays safe and has a good time.

Communities can get involved in a number of ways:

• Organise a litter pick in your community. Check out guidance from Keep Scotland Beautiful to help you set-up a safe and successful event.
• Join a public litter pick. Check out the Clean Up Scotland map for local events you can join and support.
• Complete a litter survey and help Keep Scotland Beautiful gather data on common litter items and behaviours.
• Help spread the message and get more people involved by using the communications pack and social media cards on your platforms.
• Young people can take part in our Litter League competition and compete against others on a national and regional level, to claim clean up glory by collecting the most bags of litter!
