Volunteers’ Week Scotland: say Thank You to volunteers

Volunteers’ Week Scotland is a chance to celebrate the people who volunteer their time and efforts to improve their communities, including community councillors and those who support their projects.

The event takes place every year from 1st to 7th June and is supported by Volunteer Scotland and a number of community organisations including Eden Project Communities, SCVO and YouthLink Scotland.

The main focus and theme for Volunteers’ Week Scotland 2022 remains ‘Thank You’ to all volunteers.

Volunteers are active at the heart of every community in Scotland, even more so over the last few difficult years, so as part of Volunteers’ Week organisations are being urged to take time to thank volunteers for all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole.

There are a number of online resources available for community councils who want to say Thank You to volunteers in their area, including Thank You cards, social media images and support for organisations who are planning on holding events to celebrate their local volunteers.
