Help shape the future of Planning with People

The Scottish Government and COSLA are looking for feedback from communities and individuals to ensure that their Planning with People document remains up-to-date.

The original Planning with People: Community engagement and participation guidance was published jointly by the Scottish Government and COSLA in March 2021, and encourages collaboration between NHS Boards, Integration Joint Boards and Local Authorities as well as setting out how people and communities can expect to engage with these organisations.

People living in Scotland have the right to get involved in the design and delivery of new health or social care services, and to comment on changes to existing services, and it is vital that the current community engagement guidelines remain valid.

Therefore, the Scottish Government and COSLA are looking for feedback from individuals and organisations, including community councils, who have personal experience of this engagement process.

The consultation, which is open until 30 September, is available on the Scottish Government website.
