A free Zoom event, conceived to support SEAchange's efforts in the development of a Community Woodland in the coastal community of Collieston and Slains, will host three speakers at the forefront of their activities in Scotland offering an ideal introduction for individuals and communities looking to understand and justify why and how to share their neighbourhood with the humble Tree (and all its friends!)

Prof Pete Smith of University of Aberdeen and IPCC member will discuss the climate benefits of nature based solutions and reforestation.

Dr. Mike Perks of Forest Research will explore the importance of the right tree in the right place and the co-benefits of forestry, and

Jon Hollingdale of Community Woodland Association will introduce guidance and pitfalls to avoid when establishing, funding and running a community woodland.
