LPP training: Introduction to Local Place Plans (Part One)

Introduction to Local Place Plans Part 1: What is a Local Place Plan and how is it different from a Community Action Plan?

You can sign up for this session here. Any problems please contact scottishccs@improvementservice.org.uk

  • This first of two introductory sessions is designed to introduce the basics of a Local Place Plan.  Understanding what a Local Place Plan (LPP) can and can’t achieve for your community enables you to make an informed decision as to whether creating a Local Place Plan is the right step for your group.
  • What is the difference between a Local Place Plan and a Community Action Plan? What things can a LPP do that a Community Action Plan can’t (and vice versa)?  What does a Local Place Plan actually oblige your planning department and other local authority departments to do? What weight does a Local Place Plan carry in the planning system?  What kind of things can we say in a Local Place Plan?  What’s the difference between a Local Place Plan proposal compared to a Community Action Plan project? Can we do both a CAP and an LPP at the same time?  Can we convert an existing CAP into an LPP? Bring your own questions and concerns and there will be a Q&A at the end to address these.

All training will be delivered by Imagine If.Space and Place at the Table.
