Film: The next steps for participatory budgeting in Scotland

News story posted: 28/06/2018

A new film by PBScotland and Glasgow City Council looks at how participatory budgeting in Scotland is moving toward the mainstream.

Participatory budgeting (PB), also known as community choices, is way for local people to have a direct say in how, and where, public funds can be used to address local requirements. PB is used alongside other models of community engagement and empowerment as part of a wider strategic approach to advancing participatory democracy.

PBScotland provides updates on events, policy and resources relevant to PB in Scotland, and profiles good examples of PB in action.
