Smarter Choices, Smarter Places Open Fund now open

News story posted: 14/08/2018

Paths for All has launched the Smarter Choices, Smarter Places (SCSP) Open Fund funding stream for voluntary organisations to make Scotland healthier and happier. The SCSP Open Fund is available to support public, third and community sector organisations that want to change people’s everyday travel behaviour.

The fund aims to help cut Scotland's carbon emissions and improve our air quality. It will also help reverse the trend towards sedentary lifestyles and will tackle health inequalities.

Grants available are between £5000 and £50,000 and will require to be match funded. For examples of previous SCSP projects, visit: https://www.pathsforall.org.uk/pfa/get-involved/the-impact-of-the-smarter-choices-smarter-places-fund.html

The first step to apply is to submit an Expression of Interest via email (scspopenfund@pathsforall.org.uk).  This only needs to be around 200 words identifying their proposed project, who it will specifically target, the activities they will undertake and how they will demonstrate success.  Paths for All will then provide feedback on individual Expressions of Interest and send out an application form if applicable.

There is no deadline for the submission of applications but Paths for All would encourage interested parties to submit their forms sooner rather than later.  Applicants will then have 12 months from the date of award to complete their project.
