Nominations open for The Nature of Scotland Awards 2018

Nominations are now open The Nature of Scotland Awards 2018.


The Awards are organised by RSPB Scotland in association with Scottish Natural Heritage.


Recognising and celebrating excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement in nature conservation, the seventh annual Nature of Scotland Awards are open for entries until 11th June 2018.


Entering the awards is free and applications are being sought across nine categories including: Business, Community Initiative, Food and Farming, Innovation, Nature Tourism, Political Advocate of the Year, Sustainable Development and Youth and Education.


A new award category has also been launched in recognition of the Year of Young People 2018. The RSPB Young Nature Champion Award will celebrate the contribution of young people aged 8 to 26 to Scottish nature conservation including the way they influence policy makers through campaigning to carrying out practical working in the community to deliver positive change for the benefit of wildlife.


The Nature of Scotland Awards shortlist will be unveiled at a Parliamentary Reception in September and the winners will be announced at a prestigious Presentation Dinner on 22 November at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh. Successfully shortlisted entries will receive two complimentary tickets to the dinner hosted by inspirational BBC TV presenter Kate Humble and BBC Scotland’s wildlife expert Euan McIlwraith.
