Get Involved in the MSP Connector Programme 2019

News story posted: 21/06/2019

Community groups including community councils are being encouraged to connect with their MSP for a day during Parliamentary Recess to visit towns in their constituency or region as part of the MSP Town Connector Programme.

Now in its fifth year the programme is operated by Scotland’s Towns Partnership and the Cross Party Group on Towns and Town Centres.

The programme encourages MSPs to spend a day in their local area, connecting and sharing with businesses and the community.

The Scottish Parliamentary Recess starts on 30th June and ends on 1 September 2019 and community groups including community councils have the opportunity to raise awareness about opportunities and challenges in their communities with MSPs.

Town centre managers, Improvement Districts, community groups, local business organisations and other town stakeholders can host an MSP for the day in their town. Scotland's cities and small and rural towns and settlements are also welcome to take part.

There will be a live blog which will include images where you can follow MSP visits. You can also join in the discussion on twitter using the hash tag #MSPTownTime.

Full details of the programme and how to get involved are available from Scotland’s Towns website.
